acer battery help

My original gateway battery is a AS10d31 4400mah 10.8v, got new battery AS10d41 6600mah 10.8v. Is the "41" battery safe to use, are they compatible?

Only variance I see is the mAh; bigger number there means longer battery life.

I can't say for sure whether the "41" battery is compatible for sure or not. What model laptop is this for?

it's a gateway NV57H.

Appears to be compatible, at least according to reseller's claims. The only way to know will be to inquire with Acer support, or pop the battery in to test. The higher mAh rating just means the battery will have longer life between charges, not that it's electrically incompatible.
