Acer computer startup

So I turned on the computer, the windows symbol came up and it went black. It was black for a bit so I hit the power button. I then turned it back on and the same thing happened. I left it and then an under score - came up in the corner. A blue screen came up but went off b4 I could read it. Then asked me do something with a disk. I skipped that then it asked for safe mode I just started with normal. What's up with this?

Well, you didnt really give us enough info to tell, but if you continue to see that bluescreen followed by the blinking white cursor in the upper left of a black screen, your hard drive may be on the way out. I would back up your data immediately.
