Ok, so I have an Acer 5742Z-4685 laptop that won't turn on or charge. The external power supply is working and receiving power from, and the motherboard is getting power from it (measured both with multimeter). I also tried a kind of reset, took out battery, held power for about 35 seconds, and tried to power the laptop without battery. Nothing. There was a recent incident, though. Someone tried to clean the computer with water and it wouldn't turn on, but we had dried it and it was working fine for a bout a week. The only trying that was affected was the keyboard, which we ordered a replacement for (it should be coming today). If anyone has any idea about whats going on, I would really appreciate it, because I might have to return the keyboard if it is not going to work again. Thanks in advance!

This might be pointing all to the motherboard but one more thing. Re-seat the RAM from the laptop and turn it back on. Another test is to remove all RAM then turn the laptop one without them and check if there's any beeping sound, if did not beep that mean it's the motherboard.

Yeah I tried reseating the RAM, I think the its the motherboard. The laptop has already donated its parts to something else 😉. Thanks!
