The computer is working just fine. All programs are working fine. However, the screen keeps turning off, and comes on when touchpad is felt. Then it again goes off in a second. Any solution to this?

Try this...

1. Go into "Control Panel" and then "Power Options".
2. Click on "Change plan settings" next to which ever plan you are using.
3. On this next screen click on "Change advanced power settings".
4. In this new window check 'ALL' the different areas to see when your computer is set to sleep, or set to turn off the display. Make sure nothing is set to do so.

Thanks. All settings were balanced. Not sure why this happened.
However, there were a few system updates running in the background. The moment it got done and I rebooted the system, problem was solved.

Not sure what to make out of this.

I tried reinsatalling the touchpad driver, but the issue persisted. I tried updating the driver automatically but Windows said the driver is the latest driver found. So, the problem persisted.
I connected an external mouse so that the screen didn't blink and then noticed there were some windows updates pending. I ran windows update, restarted the laptop, then ran again windows update and restarted, until I finally could use the touchpad without the screen having to blink.
I don't know which update did the work, but updating Windows fixed the problem.
