Acer Laptop struggling with skyping

I have a Acer Aspire E1-531 and i am struggling toget it to work correctly in skyping.
I have just had a skyping session. I could see and hear the person but they could see me but not see me. i have checked as many settings as i know. Please help me

You may want to re-word your post, you said they could see you but not see you. Did you check to make sure your camera and mic are working?
