Hi
I'm really hoping someone can help me?
I'm using Windows 8.1
My Webcam was working, but either when an automatic update was completed or when i re-installed Skype, my webcam will no longer work.
I've searched and searched Google and cannot find an answer to this problem.
Acer Forums have suggested to restore to a time it was working, but i made the fatal mistake of not creating a restore point back then

1. In Skype it states 'another device maybe using the webcam please close and try again'
2. when i search windows it states that the webcam is installed, turned on and is available for Skype
3. I have checked device manager, no triangle with an exclamation mark regarding driver. it states 'imaging device, USB Boot ?
google has suggested uninstalling the device and reinstalling etc etc etc .....

I have read on here that i should complete F2 in bios, and then F12 find usb HDD, press F5 and make this priority 1 - I have completed this and it is still not working.

Short of booting this laptop up the garden.. im not sure what else to do ??

Any suggestions??

Many thanks
