After back up reset will music & pics saved on my external id still be readable?(SG3)

Hello Didn't do the reset yet I put my pics and music all on external sd.I plan on removing both sim and external sd card-just in case!! O_O before i back-up reset.

Will SG3 still read sd card after i insert and mount it back on?

Or will I have to install a program and/ root?

If the SD card was readable before the reset, it will read it again afterward. You may need to chance the application options to read the SD card by default though same as you did the first time.
