Here is one thing iOS also has over Android. iOS updates work farther down the line of older equipment.

I know I can run iOS 5 on my iPad 1. But I know that Ice Cream will never come out officially for my Samsung phone which is less than a year old. Look at all the cheap-o tablets out on the market running Froyo.... do they get Ice Cream?
