I have a Galaxy S5 smartphone. After moving apps to the SD card they won't run. The apps icons are greyed.

Are you moving the apps to the SD card the normal way?

I mean, for a pre-Marshmallow phone, by going to "Settings"... "Apps" ... Tap on the individual app... then tap the "Move to SD Card" button?

Or if it is a phone with Marshmallow, you first set the SD Card as "Internal" when you installed it rather than as the normal "External" and did so prior to adding anything to it?

If you moved the apps any other way, they would not work correctly.

BUT... if you are referring to a phone that you rooted first, then that is all together different. For problems with a rooted phone you would need to ask in the "Rooting, Jailbreaking & Unlocking" forum. http://www.tomsguide.com/forum/forum-117.html as the phone will react differently after...
