What version of Windows are you running?

Try running the Windows built in troubleshooters

If that does not work then try downloading, reinstalling, and reconfiguring the audio drivers.

Keep a close eye on the process - look for any AV warnings or other error messages.

Get rid of Mcafee. It's the crappiest program on the planet. Then use their removal tool to remove the rest of it
