Allocate more ram to vram

I have a lenovo g50-45 and i am wanting to upgrade my vram from 1gb to 2gb i have looked in the bios and i cant find it anywhere.

No idea, it has been a while since I even used a computer with no dedicated GPU, let alone buying one. BIOS and drivers are the only two places where I'd reckon you'd be able to change it. You'd have to check the drivers and see if such option exist.
That laptop uses integrated graphics, rather than dedicated graphics, so the RAM and VRAM here is exactly the same.

These days, however, the RAM/VRAM allocation is done dynamically, so I'd imagine the only way he'd be able to do it is via Drivers, but that may not even affect his performance as the GPU is still rather weak.
 
it also depends on the vendor bios if there a setting to change ipgpu video ram. some do some dont. if it does it may says 256k ipgpu ram. most intel onboard stop at 1g of system ram.
 


so is there a way in the drivers that i could allocate more ram to vram?
