I know beats don't have the best sound quality, and that you can get some better headphones around the same price like the M50X etc. I already have myself beyerdynamic dt880 pros. I wanted to know if there are any alternatives to Beats Studio 2 which are cheaper and have somewhat the same sound as beats? (High bass)

I was looking at the Sony XB950BT. Are there any options that are even cheaper?

Budget? M50X, DT770, MDR 1A, Philips Fidelio X2. The Massdrop x Fostex TH-X00 is probably the best bass headphone under $1000. You can find them used for $250ish on ebay.

As someone who owns both the Mahogany and Ebony versions I can't recommend them enough. The Purpleheart is the bass monster of the group and what you want if you don't mind recessed mids ( vocals ). The Mahogany is bass heavy and warm. Lots of high end sparkle without being sibilant. The Ebony is more neutral and has the deepest bass extension of the 3. It has less overall bass but when bass hits you know it. The Ebony is my favorite headphone.

You won't be able to hear one unless you're lucky enough to know someone who owns one. They're numbered and limited. They're really really good headphones.

If you can buy new there's a brand new version with detachable cables that just launched. The TR-X00s.
