Am i infected with a virus? Ad Choices & In text ads

Alright so i recently reformatted a computer after noticing that i was getting these weird ad choices ads all over along with these stupid " In text ads" that i see on this site also

^ Is this a virus, could anyone else go here with all addblocks disabled and see if they get this? I see the same things on this website thought not near as many.

If this is a virus what can i do at this point? i've reformated and when i did i COMPLETELY deleted / formatted the hard drive then installed from a USB.

Im getting these on TWO different computers both have been freshly reformatted, one windows 7 and the other windows 8.1.

If anyone could help i would be SOOOO GRATEFUL. I couldn't stand knowing i have a virus that i cant get rid of, it's the worst feeling ever.

That's standard Advertisements.

On my home PCs my Norton Internet Security blocks them, but on public computers and such it typically pops up all the time, such as PCs at my college campus.

Bah.... That's not a virus. It's harmless. It is very annoying, but still, those are ads that support a site.

So you guys honestly think i should have nothing to worry about? They only show up on SOME sties, adchoice seems to be on most though(unless im using adblock)
Should i stop my worry and just addblock them away?

I just remember a few years back getting a conduit virus that showed a ton of "ad choice" ads on everything, this is why im scared :O

What about using adblock and ghostery extensions.

I don't get them with adblock installed. I think they may be normal ads at this point

I know AdBlock/AdBlock Plus are common Chrome extensions for blocking ads, but I'll throw in my own suggestion: AdGuard. Personally, I've found AdGuard to be the most reliable blocker for ads, and it also has more features than any AdBlock extension I've ever used.

Check it out. If you install it, go into the settings, and you'll have a lot of nice features. Multiple language filters, a social media filter, phishing/malware protection (I think it's a bit more reliable than the built-in Chrome protection), and the ability to block individual ads on a webpage that get through (very rare) are what sold me. I've not had to install any custom filter packs/blacklists; practically every filter they have available for free has worked flawlessly. Just throwing it out there.
