Great spec update but... WHY did they remove the number keys? That was one of the biggest complaints that DX owners (me included) had that Kindle 1/2 owners didn't... and now it's applicable to the Kindle 3 as well. It's hard enough to create notes as it is without some of the other punctuation keys (commas, question marks, parentheses etc).

I never thought designs could take a step backward, but Amazon has proven me wrong.

its still seems like far too much money for a very unifuntional device.

its another device to have to carry around, and though i would love to own one, my iPod touch is a perfectly capable e reader, and its always in my pocket.

i just wouldn't want to pay more than 50 bucks for one of these. but i also couldn't care less about internet access. its not often that im away form home and struck by the sudden need to instantly read a book that has just popped into my head.
