Amazon's App Store Turns 1, Serves Free Kindle Fires

Once you enter to win, it wants to add an 'app' to your facebook called 'Amazon Sweepstakes', and it wants to be able to access the 'basic information' of your account. Sounds fine but I think I'll delete that app because I don't want it snooping.
 
For a company that makes billions and billions of dollars $1600 in fires is a pretty lame birthday present.
 
All that is needed to enter is a name, email address and phone number -- no purchase is necessary.
That and give away your privacy to facebook. Oh, and ‘like’ it too.

That's because the companies holding them are based in the US. International laws make it very difficult to hold sweepstakes like this in more than one country, and even in some states in the US.

Blame your country for making it impossible, not the company for excluding you. It's not their choice.
 
I wonder how many of the "likes" all these companies have a just bribes to win contests?
