The A8-6410's integrated Radeon R5 (Beema) is fairly weak. It is less powerful than the Ivy Bridge generation Intel HD 4000. As for CPU performance, the A8-6410 is a bit less powerful than a Core i3 and that is when all 4 of it's cores are being used.
i3 by a mile.

The i3 has significant higher CPU efficiency and benchmarks.

The better integrated graphics of the A8 would be better for autocad but not to the point where it compensates for the cpu portion being so poor.

So get the i3 laptop and up it to 8gb.

i3 for sure, in your case. autocad doesn't use many threads, it tends to prefer one strong thread and for that the i3 would likely be much better than the a8. also, it's likely more power efficient, so battery life should be better. and lastly, you can add more ram or even swap out ram, but you're stuck with whatever processor (and cores) you choose, so make that the right choice.

for desktops, there's plenty of situations in which an amd is a better choice, and plenty in which an intel is the better choice.
