The only reason we still get the paper is because of the coupons. We save a lot more money on groceries then what the paper costs us. Also I still like looking though the add's such as BB, CC, and Ultimate Electronics. Paper's will probably fail but not for quite a while.

Papers are failing because the news they report is old by the time they get it. Most people also do not like hearing things from an opinion they do not agree with, thus many of the most popular online news sites are either those that are from the far left, or far right. As corporate media becomes more and more corporate, people feel lied to and once they leave, in my personal experience they are not likely to go back. It is sad that most people get most of their news from the TV, but people don't read as much as they used to all in all.
