An OK gaming laptop for 500$?

Im not looking for some super computer ,but I want something nice. 500 USD is my budget ,yet I could spare up to 600. The #1 detail is that it can run games well and at an ok resolution. No specific brand im looking for and I do want a CD drive.

The Core i3 and Radeon HD 6550 should give you decent performance to run many or most games with medium graphics quality settings. At the very least a mix of low and medium quality settings.
