Android Phones to Get 18-Month Support Cycle

After 18 months I'll generally have a new handset anyway, but this is still welcome news.

Ouch.. Apple is averaging 2 - 2.5 years on theirs.. Heck, some Android phones weren't ever able to be upgraded. But of course, that's what you get when you buy a phone that is based on a half-baked idea that clearly needs alot more work.

But of course.. Apple got heat for that. And Android gets praise.. Tsk tsk.. Love the double standards.

But it is good to see them putting guidelines, etc, out about this..
