Android sdk help

hi,

I just downloaded the sdk for andriod platform and would like, eventually, to be able to understand how to make an app. I do not really know anything about all the java commands and jargon associated with tutorials to make an app that I have seen.

Is there a good place for me to start so I can learn java, and work my way up to the point where I actually understand how to make an app in the sdk. I was thinking w3schools as a start, but I really don't know.

Any advice is greatly appreciated...

Dude, the web is your best resource! If you really have to learn Java to develop for Android (not sure if that's the language used), then you can check out forums for Javascript and other similar websites. I'd also suggest you look for Android developer forums, and start interacting with the peeps there.
