Android security patch 2018.8

I received the OTA security patch a couple of weeks ago for my OnePlus 5t. Since the update, many of my apps are malfunctioning but only when I'm connected to WiFi. If I disable the wifi, all my apps function properly. Any clues are appreciated!

I have not heard of this issue before. I would check with the manufacturer about the update as it may have flaws.
