Animation

Hi again. Aadiz64 here and I want know, perhaps in the beginning of Mission Impossible GP, where she lights the fuse and you see going through drains and all sorts f stuff, what program and how do you make such an animation? I have tried Autodesk Maya which apparently so far I can only animate characters and not their surroundings, Autodesk 3ds max is kind of difficult to use. I want an effect as though the camera is flying through a city or something similar and the name of the program to do it. Thanks!

I tried, but am not sure of how to accomplish the exact scene I'm looking for, and do not want Flash to look like crap, I want to make it look professional. Thanks anyhow
