Most of the troll posts here are not worth my time. but I will respond to some of the more serious questions, compliments - and criticisms of our new service AnonPaste.
First of all, I am nearly 50 years old - and hardly a script-kiddie. Secondly, the Peoples Liberation Front has been around for nearly 3 decades - and we have a great deal of experience in how the government uses so called "criminal" investigations to track and silence activists. That is why we have offered to host and manage AnonPaste.
We have plenty of resources, so the cost is not a factor - although we do appreciate and donations people wish to make to help us defray the bandwidth and disk bills. Every dollar we DON'T have to spend supporting this service can be used for our other projects like "Laptops For Freedom" which helped supply dozens of computers to protesters in Tahir Square in Egypt for example.
The claim that we can not delete any particular paste is true. There is no way for us to match a particular post with any file in the database. I know, I have tried. As for the possibility of getting massively spammed as a form of attack, it has happened already which is why we are (reluctantly) adding a captcha feature to defeat the malicious bots.
There is nothing wrong with making the individual poster responsible for the legality and appropriatness of what they post. The idea is not to encourage so called illegality, but to both protect activists posting controversial material - as well as to protect the host (in this case us) from undue and burdensome harrasment making it near impossible to even run these services.
