Maybe this is why the EU is going after MS and not Apple. See they put an explosive in every iPhone going to the EU and if they do not do exactly as Jobs orders then old Steve presses the red button and......

[citation][nom]back_by_demand[/nom]It is a little unfair to keep branding it the iGrenade as it doesn't really explode, it just sort of blows broken glass in the direction the screen is facing.Maybe the iClaymore would be more appropriate?[/citation]

well, Claymores tend to have a blow back in the opposite direction of the main blast, so iClaymore wouldn't work either...now iShapeCharge might be a better choice... =p

"(...)damage to Bouhadi's iPhone looks as though it was caused by something hitting the screen(...)"

Yeah, the eye!

[citation][nom]Major7Up[/nom]Apple products are manmade afterall, and like all manmade things they too can fail. The question is, what is Apple going to do about it? My guess is that they ignore then downplay this as usual.[/citation]

We know what Apple is doing already. They send a letter and a refund as long as they never discuss the issue in public. In other words, they refund you to shut your trap.

Interestingly that although there more iPhones in US then in Europe, they tend to "blow up" mostly in Europe ((last tree I think was in France). Is it just that EU media likes to make more buzz about the presumably defective iPhones than falling Airbuses,
or is it's just more attention whores/freeloaders in there.
Since suing American companies for being competitive seems to become major source of income for EU, I guess it's both

[citation][nom]jecht[/nom]Why are only French people's iPhones exploding? Sounds suspicious to me...[/citation]
Because those darned French have had it too good for too long!

maybe its because more Americans are accepting the pay off from apple

Yassine: This iPhone exploded, I demand a new phone now.
Apple: Tell me Mr. Bouhadi, what good is a phone if you're unable to speak...

Please donate all your unwanted iPhones to me so i can have a kick ass 4th of July next year. The 16GB models do more damage from what i hear.

Because the cosmos would warp time and space to insure it. After all, the French have always been the avante garde for anything having to do with cool detachment.

wtf? how is this thing passing safety regulations?? you get exploding batteries in laptops and ALL the laptops with them get recalled immediately!

Lets see 1.5 million Iphones sold world wide, 3 blew up in Europe and 6 total so your iphone has a .00004% chance of exploding

Well then, time to issue a recall I guess. In the mean time Apple suggests not to go outside in the rain for likely chance of being struck by lightning.
