App to tell if someone else is using my pc?

I need something so I can tell if someone else is using my pc. Say I press a keyboard combo to start using my pc, then i press it again to stop. If I don't press the combo then i would get an alert that tells me how long the computer was being used. Anything like this?

do you want to prevent people on it? or are you just trying to see the traffic

Just look in the system logs to see when it was used. Or. Ya know. Use a password...

I need to see if someone is using it, setting a password will just prevent. (which is what i'll do if someone is)

I think the concern is most likely a roommate. If this is a workplace, I'd say, go talk to your supervisor, and get approval by your IT people AND by your security people. (And, often, a workplace can require you to lock your computer to prevent this.) I suppose it could be a workplace, if you are the boss.....at that point, what you're asking makes perfect sense. I'll go further. Don't respond to these surmises. Doing so can't do any good, and COULD hurt.

Just would like to say, i did find out using my history on chrome. Someone was using my pc without me knowing.
