Just think about how obvious and unsuprising this is.
I'm sure the numbers are the same for GooglePlay at the same time.
Everyone unwraps their new iPods, iPads and Androids and the first thing that happens is the recipient starts downloading like crazy.
I did it, my nephews and nieces did it, all my cousins aunts and uncles did the same regardless of iOS or Android.

Android probably had 300% growth on Chirstmas day but apple fanbois trying to hang on to whatever it is that they like. 😀
