[citation][nom]watcha[/nom]This just means that Apple is offering to go through with the audit - rather than being forced to.[citation][nom]__-_-_-__[/nom]anyone saw the trick?"Fair Labor Association will conduct special voluntary audits of Apple’s final assembly suppliers"meaning, they will only inspect what apple wants.[/citation][/citation]

he was right and almost dead on instead of close but you missed the crucial bit - final assembly. that's not where the toxic lcd poisoning is happening, it is in the manufacturing and production part of the units where all the suicides and health/safety/labor violations are happening.
apples final assembly plants could be in mexico for all we know

[citation][nom]v3rlon[/nom]AMD, ATI, and Apple three companies (well, 2 now) that are serioulsy unloved on THG. What do you guys have against the letter A?[/citation]
apple tax 3000%
ATI 10 years of the worst support and worst drivers ever. even after AMD bought them it took 3 years to clean up the mess.
AMD for taking a dump by throwing away their processor development resources in order to buy ATI and waste all their money to gain the crown in the gpu market they just acquired while letting the horrendous ATI crew screw up AMD cpu development management by incorporating the ATI management that could barely keep ATI afloat in a quad (technically 50-75%??? Nvidia owned) GPU maker market.
get the picture now?

I have worked for foxconn in México, comparing with Flextronics, Siemens, sanmina SCI, Foxxcon is the worst one.
They work in Sunday, extra working hours without extra payment, the day of rest is not set.

Apple seems to be improving its transparency of late. There's still that stifling corporate culture, but at least they're beginning to recognize the hardships their products impose on the Chinese people.
