Apple should not be allowed to keep doing what there doing, they should have to give information about new products so that uyers can make an informed choice, they are so deceitful at apple releasing a new iphone the same day as the upgrade. they shoudlnt be allowed to do this. It is not fair to wait 2 weeks before u release it and then advertise a new phone they should of had to give atleast 6 months notice that there will be a new iphone 3g s. If i had new this i would not of went and brought a 3g iphone a month ago, i have sold the phone and wont be buying any more apple products.

I have a 8b 3G, and was very tempted to upgrade... but, in the UK O2 are SCREWING with us. the old model isn't half price..its the same price.
And the new 3GS costs a fortune! In fact, to by the 32GB model off contract is £538. thats $876...for a phone? COME ON.
also, when the 3G was released, we could upgrade from gen one to 3G at a resonalbe price.... not any more!!

Seriously, i'm just going to have to wait and look at what WWDC 2010 produces...one assumes it'll have to be something pretty special...

With the price drop the old 8G phone looks very tempting.

Now if they do the same thing for the 16GB model when the 32GB model comes out - it could get interesting.

[citation][nom]Curnel_D[/nom]Buying certain phones in America almost doesnt have a whole lot to do with features and whichis better. With locked in contracts, we're forced to stick with a certain array of phones, of which the iPhone and pre are not included for me. And despite that, I'd still take my HTC Touch Pro over both anyday.[/citation]
I had 2 HTC phones before I bought the iPhone.. The iPhone is much better than either of my HTC phones.

[citation][nom]gimpy1[/nom]You missed tethering; yes the iPhone supports tethering. Too bad ATT does not.I hate ATT.[/citation]
I have been tethering my iPhone on AT&Ts network for a long time. You just need to jailbreak the phone and there are several ways to go about tethering it.
