I didn't specify what criteria people use to define the best. I stated that in the majority of peoples opinions, it's the best. The reasons - nobody will ever know.

Are you trying to argue that there are fewer 'serious' apps in the App Store? Because if you are, you've already failed. There are 'silly' apps in both app store - in similar proportions. The Apple app store, being significantly bigger, of course has more silly apps. It also has more serious apps. More of everything, in fact. That's the point.

A review is a collation of a DEPARTMENTS collective experiences, typically. It is also an unbiased, knowledgeable and expert opinion. A review is worth far more than what you think, even on it's own. The fact that I explicitly noted that it's EVERY review means it's not even just 1 DEPARTMENT, it's dozens. You think every independent expert review team is wrong, and you're right?

Firstly, that is a collection of app stores, not an app store. Secondly, it's not an apple competitor.

I'm saying how many of those thousands of apps are actually useful, and other platforms like S60 don't have any app stores, you get them via websites so you don't know how many S60 apps there are, they could even out number iphone apps plus you can even install java apps

A review is one guys opinion maybe sometimes asking what his colleagues think as a second opinion, an average joe's opinion can be unbiased, knowledgeable and expert as well infact is usually more in depth as they use the phone every day not just for a short period, i have read plenty of reviews that don't rank the iphone very high not that i take any interest in it because its just one guys opinion, i have a mind of my own that i use to buy a phone that i want based on the features/specs that i want not what some guy at cnet or where ever wants.

Just compare the specs to other phones and you will see it comes up well short
