You know what, this IS Apple's business and it is their store and it is their product. There is no such thing as a "monopoly in your own product line", a monopoly is a word that exists to define owning a MARKET. There are lots of other alternatives to the iPhone on the market, and Apple is a long ways from a monopoly.

It would be very, VERY different if Apple was had a market share of the entire cell phone industry on the same level as Microsoft and then denied this App. But as of right now, this is more than fair.

I'm not saying I like it - I don't. But I am a business person and this is well within Apple's rights, at least in context of their current position in the market.

Well, what's the market share of the iPod in USA? 92% On how many carriers are avalaible for iphone in USA? 1. How many software you can use to upload music on your ipod? 1 How many companies can build hardware to support OSX? 1. I think we can't say it's a free market... and it's a monopoly because this scheme is set to make to consumer pay MORE for no reasons other than screw them.

Yes, Google's aim is to give all of the carrier services for FREE. An make money from advertising placement. To those premium users, you pay them to REMOVE the ADs. Carrier provide bandwidth and the flat billing. It will soon be bare bones pricing at the rate the equipment prices are going.

You either join Google in this pie or be a subordinate, simple as that. Only the strong will survive.
