No one should keep Ciclids in such a tank obviously, but I still se a place for such a tank for smaller fish such as the basic tropicals that don't gow beyond 2-3 cm. I agree that if in doubt about an animal's intelligence, give it the benefit of the doubt and treat it well.. better yet, treat all animals well.

Fish can think, that much is clear. I have trained one to pop the thermometer when she wants food, and then twirl. She's very cute, and beautiful, and very smart. She recognizes me, and will not perform this trick for anyone else, because she knows she will not get food.
Did you know Cichlids protect their young? Did you know the parents communicate with each other? Did you know they are capable of recognizing another fish they haven't seen for a year? Did you know they can change color in seconds based on their mood? I'm guess you didn't, but you spoke like an expert anyway. If they don't have emotions, how can their change color to reflect their emotions? How can they get so excited when they see a human and think they are about to be fed? Excitement's not an emotion?

You can get 10 fish, and some will want to work with you, and will let you touch them, and such (not a great idea though, unless you "slime" your hands first), some will not. Some will watch you, some will be indifferent to you. Some will be extremely aggressive, some will be passive.
The point is, you know nothing about what you're talking about. Some fish are stupid, and have little personality, but there are some that are quite smart. They have to be, it's a big advantage for them. In fact, the female I am talking about is a Tilapia Mariae, and they are so successful a species, they are illegal in many states because they will take over the regions and knock out the indigenous species. This is because they are so smart, and so aggressive. They are also extremely beautiful as adults.

ok one second here. I see that the tank is 6 inches wide so you wouldnt want a very large fish, however, with it being 70 inches are you tanking into account the room to swim in distances? I dont know fish much. I just know how to catch and cook em. But I did have a goldfish I won at the fair and he lived for 5 years until the wifes ferret ate him.
I would love to do an inwall one but who the hell has the space for that these days. Ive thought about getting a huge setup myself and this seems interesting. I would agree that 6inches wide seems kinda small though.

You have obviously never kept fish I see, fish very much do care how much space they have to swim in, it directly affects the fishes health and their growth. A fish kept in an aquarium with not enough space will be very lethargic or will just die, most will be stunted in growth and others will get hurt trying to find a way out of the small confined space and look for more room.
Whether they have feelings or not they are alive and the space they live in does directly affect them (think about other caged animals and how they react to them).

They may be small, but they like to shoal together, and 6" of shoulder room isn't much for a school even of neons. Same with a lot of smaller fishes.

I've had a wall hanging tank for a few years now and can say that they are pretty nice. This one seems more of the luxury version to what I've got, but I am somewhat skeptical of their claim of cleaning only taking 15 minutes per month. I have to change the water and filter every 2-3 weeks depending on temperature and how long the lights run. It usually takes 20-30 minutes to do a thorough job since most cleaning tools are not well suited for the narrow opening at the top. Beyond that they are great and can be had for a lot cheaper if you don’t need the touchscreen or autofeeder.
