Solved! Are 2 dead pixels and a small light leak enough for a replacement

The light leak.... Possibly.

Two constantly on pixels, nowhere near the middle of the screen.... Not likely at all.

However, without much more information, such as make/model, laptop or desktop display, how old, etc. we're just guessing here. You might also give the warranty a read as such things will be spelled out there.

It does not really matter what we think, but what the vendor that is providing the warranty thinks. Did you already check with them and were denied?

I am going to check with them tomorrow, just wanted to see if it's even worth trying.

The model is a Lenovo Legion Y520. It's been a year and 5 month since purchase. The warranty is for 2 years.

Not sure if that's of any importance but a total of 4 screws have fallen off the bottom of the laptop, 2 of which i noticed and the other 2 are lost

That would not cause any issues, but should not have been happening unless someone took apart the laptop and did not put the screws in properly or broke the interior supports for the screws.
