Are my TR130 dead?

My Sennheiser TR130 have been good for several years. Now apparently not charging properly. I replaced the batteries in the earpiece but no difference. The earphones sit on the unit with red light on constantly as if still charging. The port on the Mac works with other (wired) headphones but no sound from the TR130. Could they be dead - approx 4yrs old. I have tried the tune button but there is absolutely no crackling. I am not techy minded and am struggling with this. I would be grateful for any help.

Its hard to answer this because its not the batteries, it could be dead, though ive never heard of a headphone just going dead. You might just have to buy a new headphone. Also check if its connected properly.
