Aspire 4736 blank screen prob (i need help)

please help me ! im using aspire 4736 . able to turn it on but there's nothing to display. just a blank screen

This can happen when your hard drive in the laptop fails, or a memory stick has gone.
It can often cause the laptop to power up but as you say no screen. the other cause could be the back light of the lcd screen has gone.
