Hello,aspire 5100 problems keeps dumping then showing blue screen then saying disc down but on disc chk all ok

What OS do you have? You could try running a repair via the disk or the recovery partition to see if that gets rid of the error.

Hi I'm using windows xp pro ,it got to the stage that it would not boot up just went to screen saying disc error so i formated the hole c drive and took away the partitions except for 8mg which would not delete had to boot with norton to get it running then reinstalled window it still crashes showing blue screen then it runs disc check which come up ok then some times comes up systems/32 file missing do you think its hard drive or mother board, is there a program i can run to check the disc and the mother board.
