Aspire 5570Z battery won't charge when using lap top

have replaced battery, message states, " plugged in not charging"

Eventually after shut down it will charge

I've seen this happen before on a friend's laptop. Eventually it ended up being due to some windows update.
Fixed itself after a week or so. He tried multiple fixes without any solution then just woke up one day after a windows update and it worked again
