this Laptop sometimes fails to open - the on off button does not register for at least 10mins then all a sudden it kicks in, this is a regular occurrence, any suggestions pls

this laptop is only 2 months old, is this possible

If it is that new I would contact the manufacturer about the problem so they can repair and/or replace it. And yes it is completely possible for a part to fail even on a new device. Best to contact them and get it fixed now than to let it go and have them deny the work.
