Asus d550c screen replaced, lights up, displays black, but external display works fine.

I just had my laptop's screen stop working, but the external display ports all work. I just replaced the screen, and now it lights up, but still won't display anything but through the external.

Then either the screen was not installed properly or it was the wrong screen. Did you replace the inverter also? Double-check the connections?

There is no inverter as it's LED, so there is only one ribbon cable, which only plugs one way, so I don't think I installed it incorrectly. It may possibly be the wrong screen, but it's an identical model # as what I pulled out

I'm contacting the seller to see what information they may have.

If it's the right screen with the connection that looks OK, issue may be with the video card or connection to the motherboard.
