ASUS K501U extra ram and ssd

Hi, So I own a ASUS K501U, and I am having trouble finding out if I can put a 2.5 SSD into it and also having another 8 GB ram put into it aswell. Also, if anyone just happens to know where I can find a guide or something like that to assist me with putting those components in, it would be greatly appreciated as well.

Hi,

According to Asus Support site your laptop would only take up to 4GB. Yes you can replace the stock HDD with a 2.5 SSD and it should work with no problem.

wikisharez, is that K501U or x501u as they are 2 different laptops?
