battery not detected is what the laptop says after putting new battery

Hi,

Please do try these troubleshooting steps that may help.
- First is to uninstall/reinstall the battery driver from Device Manager.
- Reboot the laptop once the battery driver has been uninstalled and it should reinstall after the reboot.
- If the same problem will persist, do a hard reboot.
- Remove the battery and unplug the AC adapter then press and hold the power button for 20 seconds then try booting it up again.
- If the same problem will persist I would consider having the battery replaced with a new one.
