I can't make the decision. I want a laptot for gaming, and sometimes for 3D working like solide edge. Maybe the acer is a bit better because of little ssd, but it is bigger, so less portable.
Specs:

Asus
i7-4710HQ, 15.6FULL HD IPS, HDD750 GB, 8GB, GTX 860M gddr5 4GB

Acer
i7-4710HQ, 17.3",Haswell-NVidia GTX860M 4gb gddr 5, 8GB, HDD1 TB, 60 GB ssd.

Anyag suggestions for pros and cons?
Thanks

Solution
asus for build quality and reliability. The Nitro is good, but the g550 / g551 line up always has great quality and cooling as well as a nicer keyboard.

I have a 17" laptop, and it is not less portable than a 15" inch laptop. It weighs more and is bigger, but the difference is for me is negligible. The pro's of having a bigger screen is a clear winner for me. Also the Acer comes with 16gb of ram? Or maybe it's your vendor that sells it with 8gb.
