Asus q504 laptop

So I purchased my laptop on amazon about a month ago. Since 2 weeks ago it has been freezing whenever i turn on the laptop. It would turn on and take a very long time to login. I would have to wait every time i do something such as click on an app until the screen shut off. Once it shut off i would wake it back up and it would proceed with what i had been doing. Ex: i click google chrome, wait for screen to shut off, wake scree up, and then google chrome would be up. So i would have to continue this waiting process for each action. I have no idea what the problem is or the solution. Does anyone have an idea on what to do?

It sounds like there are some problems with the laptop. If you just got it I would be contacting the seller or contacting Amazon about a replacement.
