Asus u50a screen is flashing colors

I just replaced my Asus u50a screen and when the laptop is turned on it flashes red, green, blue, and gradient grey. Any help would be great

try using an external monitor to see if does same or not but I think not as sounds like a connector is not properly seated.

I just tried hooking it up to my tv but nothing popped up. I also checked to make sure that the connector was in properly. Still nothing. I tried hooking up the cracked screen and it came on and I was able to see the desktop save for it being busted. And I'm 100% sure I bought the right screen. :-(

Hi, therefore, the number on the back of the old screen is the same as the new screen?

No, nothing will show on the external screen

did you try pressing the f4 button that shows a box on it for enabling connection to external monitor?

Still not doing anything, I double checked to make sure that the cable works on a different laptop and it did. But still nothing on the Asus
