ASUS vs ACER

Hey !

I'm looking at a computer for school and personal use (including games and video-editing)

i'm looking at these computer: ASUS K55VJ 15.6" HD GeForce GT635 2 GB,Core i7-3630QM,8GB RAM, 750GB HDD, bluray and Acer Aspire V3-571G 15.6" HD GeForce GT640 2GB, Core i7-3630QM, 8GB RAM, 750GB HDD. i the only difference is the bluray and geforce 640, but i've heard a lot of confusions about acer. which one would you suggest?

Neither. We on TOM's will not easily suggest a laptop for gaming and video editing.

Why not get a desktop?

If you MUST have a desktop, you are going to need a more powerful GPU, a GTX660M for example.

yeah, but i'm using my computer both at school and at home. besides it's not hardcore gaming and i believe that the i7 is enough for medium-sized video projects

Would be helpful to have a budget. Also, I would stay far, far, far away from that eBay listing you linked. It is suspicious as hell for any laptop computer to be priced there, much less one with those specs, so if you could let us know what your budget is, someone could make a better suggestion.
