Asus X541U slow Internet connection and access (on various networks)

Brand new Asus X541U laptop, trying to download bitdefender total security and discover that the Internet speed is super super slow! Across various WiFi spots, lan-ports, the laptop still struggles to open any website or make solid Internet connection. Please help..

If it is a new device and not acting correctly contact either the place you got it from and have them replace it, or contact the manufacturer.
