My boss' laptop suddenly won't boot to Windows. I called ASUS customer service and they suggested I send it in for HD replacement. The boss is definitely not happy with losing all his data. I attached an image of a screen right before laptop enters APTIO. <a href="http://imgur.com/QOZojTg">

Any suggestions on how I can get Windows to load again?

Hi,

Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try but definitely it's the HDD if you've done most of the troubleshooting with Asus Support.
- Start by disconnecting other devices connected to that laptop.
- Next is to load Aptio Setup screen and make sure that the HDD is set as the first boot device.
- If these will not work try loading BIOS into its default by pressing F9 while your in Aptio setup screen.
- Lastly, remove the HDD off the laptop and see if it will get pass the Aptio setup screen because if it does that confirms that its the HDD that is faulty.
