My laptop is out of warranty since 4 months and now all of the sudden does not boot up anymore.
When I first started it up this morning it went straight to the BIOS for no apparent reason.
I could not do anything there, the keyboard was not working (I think touchpad is not even supposed to work in the BIOS), so I shut it down by holding the power button for 8 seconds or so. Since this it will not turn on anymore. When turning on. yhe on-light is on, as is the caps-lock light, but nothing happens. The screen does not light up, there are no sounds emanating from the device at.
The charger seems to be working and I have let it charge for several hours.
I tried holding down the power button for 20 seconds as is described in this thread
I am unable to open the device and there is no way to remove the battery without opening it.
Any thoughts on how to get this thing up and running again?
