atsc Antenna conversion

I have purchased a omni directional antenna from USA to hook up to my HDTV in Australia,
but it will not receive anything. Is a conversion to the antenna possible? If so how to do it?

Just to check, your HDTV is an Australian model and you're in Australia?

It looks like an antenna for ATSC over UHF should work for DVB-T over UHF.

Does it state a frequency on the antenna?

You may need a more effective antenna if you're not extremely close to the TV mast. Omni-directional ones don't pick up much signal.

TV is Australian and I live in Australia
I live close to transmitter
Frequency range: 87.5 - 230 / 470 - 862 MHz
Gain: 28 dB VHF, 30 dB UHF

You did run a channel scan? ATSC will not tune to any channel it has not scanned as present. Different than analog TV that just went to the next channel whether it was active or not.
