So I'm having trouble being able to talk and listen at the same time because when I plug it into my computer In the sound jack I can hear but when I try to plug my headphones in with the recording jack it doesn't catch my voice at all drivers are up to date and everything the device is set to default

Also I use to play on my Mac and that work fine with my Apple EarPods I just used one audio jack

Is this a laptop or a desktop? It might be that the port is only 2 pole and not 3

It's a pc and should I check my mother board Manuel for that answer?

So there should be two audio ports (or three on the back). If you are using a single plug for both audio and microphone, you will need a splitter to change it to two plugs. If you are using two plugs, plug the microphone into the red port and headphones into the green port.
