Audio help please

I'm running hdmi from
Pc to tv. Currently i get audio from the tv speakers. But how would I get surround sound from tv to receiver that doesn't have hdmi inputs? Perhaps thru digital optical ?

if your pc has optical out then hook it straight to receiver. some tvs dont pass full audio through
